This Summer
wedding took place in Toronto, with the guests staying at the Suites
at 1 King West, and the reception being held aboard the Kajama in
Toronto’s Harbourfront. Being that the Bride and her family
are originally from the Caribbean, it was important to incorporate
certain types of ethnic food, orchid blossoms which the Brides’s
Dad grew, and vivid hibiscus orange and pink table runners for Dinner.
The
Bride carried a silk-like Bouquet of Roses, Orchids, Hydrangeas,
and Calla lilies. The Bridesmaid and Junior Bridesmaid carried bouquets
in vivid orange and yellow tones. The tables on the boat were decorated
with vases of silk-like flowers, hibiscus table runners, fresh asplenium
leaves, and orange tealites. Up on deck, the sparkling lights of
Toronto’s skyline provided a dramatic backdrop for all the
wedding guests. All of the floral decorations, bouquets, etc were
designed off-site in Thunder Bay, ahead of the actual ceremony in
Toronto.
